I think I see the natural world as real, authentic, & those parts of the world artificial as inauthentic.  At least it is a semblance of consistent definition, ut artificial is, after all, just a word.  If I look at the real things (what is a word but some physical movements and sound to abstract that real thing into a commonly agreed upon sound?) concrete, these buildings, the playground are just reconstituted items.  They are all things that priorly existed with their forms remolded by man's mind and effort.  My

Two thoughts have been echoing in my ears and mind today.  My friend Pete, who I use to run cross country and track with in college asked me what I wanted to do for a living, ultimately, if it were up to me.  I answered without hesitance, a writer.  He replied that I need to do it full time then. Also, one Ayn Rand quote. Say what you will about Objectivism.  I don't consider myself a fan.  But I am a major fan of having such a nuanced and at times subtle life philosophy.  Without regard to the colors and shapes of your life philosophy, I admire those persons who live their life according to those colors and shapes, whatever they be.  Readin
